I am feeling moderately motivated at the moment, which I am trying to take advantage of without knackering myself out.
I have signed up to justgiving www.justgiving.com/josieannhoward (although I haven't told anyone about it yet, as I am going to wait until I've have comfortably up'ed my mileage) and I have decided that the charity I would like to sponsor this time is The Children's Trust. They are based in Surrey and provide rehabilitation, medical care, special education and much, much more for children with multiple disabilities. I will begin broadcasting this information soon, however should you wish to donate sooner, please do! Every £1 counts ;)
I have also started something I have been meaning to do for AGES and that is the 100pushup and 200squat challenge. I have started and failed the 100pushups before but this time I hope it is for keeps. I now have a flat with more space and less distractions, which should help!
What I was most concerned about was the possibility that all my previous running had been forgotten by my body during my almost two month gap of illness. I couldn't bear being back at square one. I was pleased to realise that once I had done my first mile, doing the next two was actually quite easy and in fact, after only a week I ran nearly 5K!! I was very pleased. I am still unbelievably busy at work so last week was a bit of a mileage failure but I have run twice this week, each time over 2 miles (1 mile is purely uphill each time) and I am hoping and praying that this weekend I will be able to run 4 miles straight.
Fingers crossed that I will get a good night's sleep tonight and that my leg muscles dont die after doing the 2 miles today!
